The library in Unna is co-located in a building called ‘zib’, along with the town archive, the information centre, a learning centre for the Volkhochschule (similar to TAFE), and a ‘Light Art Gallery’ (specialising in artwork made from light – whether it be neon or sunlight).
One of my favourite things about the Unna library was their ‘Wading Pool’ of board books. Unshod children are encouraged to climb on in and experience books in a new tactile way!
